Decades Remains Niche Service For CBS Television Stations

According to Kagan there are 95.7 million homes subscribing to either overbuilders, satellite, or cable companies. With subchannel networks all but shut out from satellite’s 33 million subs networks (like Decades) have the impossible task of trying to reach parity with its cable network competition if Madison Avenue is ever to open ups its national budgets. Perhaps Decades will rip a page from many Spanish nets and secure a channel directly on satellite while also maintaining the fence between its broadcast business. Or perhaps Decades will remain a niche service for CBS Television Stations that will also contain some spill over in distribution from like-minded broadcast groups.

Over-the-air television(OTA): OTA homes calculated by subtracting MVPD subscribers from Across Platforms’ household estimates derived mapping Census county population data to television station’s coverage maps.

On January 20, 2015, Deadline.com announced that FTS’ stations will carry the new digital multicast network Buzzr TV, a joint venture of FremantleMedia and Debmar-Mercury. Buzzr TV will carry classic game show content and will debut on Monday June 1st. (from Wikipedia)
